NGC Medical, a company that designs, builds, and manages Cath Labs, Cardiac Surgery Operating Rooms, Intensive Care Units, and General Surgery Units under the formula of a full managed service for a hospital, has been recently acquired by Medtronic. Within Medtronic, NGC will serve as the Managed Services arm for Medtronic’s Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Main purpose of job
The Managed Equipment Service Speciailst will manage all activities related to the turnkey setup of core hospital departments for NGC (Cathlabs, ORs, ICUs), including procurement, installation and ongoing maintenance of capital equipment for these departments, under the lab managed services model. The MES Specialist will manage all turnkey infrastructure setup projects back office functions and continue to manage the ongoing maintenance of labs in order to ensure hospital departments can provide high-quality clinical care at all times.

Required qualifications:
  • Biomedical Engineering or equivalent technical university degree
  • Experience in medical sector (hospital) with experience in capital equipment management and planning, experience in CathLabs (CLs) and Operation Rooms (ORs) is an advantage
  • Experience in Maintenance Management and/or Procurement is a plus
  • Fluency in English 
  • PC literacy 
  • Willingness to travel within the region (20%)
  • Clear driving license with driving experience
Main responsibilities: 
  • Collaborate with Regional MES Managers for projects execution and service delivery, including collaboration with the Tender Office, Service Activation Team for project activations, Design & Construction Team on project infrastructure needs, Finance & Procurement, Quality and Regulatory and Service Delivery Team to manage the sites
  • Ensure fulfillment of quality requirements and timelines as dictated in tenders/contracts

Procurement, Installation and Training
  • Handle the procurement (creation of POs and monitoring), installation, testing, and training of/for capital equipment necessary for Hospital Solutions accounts in EMEA
  • Communication with the local suppliers of medical equipment
  • Manage the equipment and maintenance contract deadlines for procurement of projects
  • Maintain the smooth installation of the equipment and completion of the all procedural work related to the technical testing, and the training of clinical staff in order to ensure a fully functional department according to customer contracts 
  • Collaborate with the service activation and project management teams
  • Collect all serial numbers and report to Quality, Regulatory and Assetmax
  • Solicit the suppliers in order to have the documents needed in requested times, as per MES guidelines, keep track of information needed and request the missing info
  • Keep track of authorizations received and request missing ones

Support and Maintenance
  • Ensure maintenance activities get registered through capital equipment maintenance across entire portfolio of selected EMEA accounts, overseeing a team working with OEM maintenance, internal maintenance, and internal customer service staff
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance of contracted departments
  • Get monthly reports for sites in Assetmax

De-Commissioning & Disposal
  • Support the Regional MES Manager to handle the customer on End of Life cycle and strategize for the best outcome
  • Manage the de-installation process in Assetmax
